Meg Milinovich, Occupational Therapist

 

I have worked in various settings including schools, pre-schools, outpatient clinics, homes, and community settings.  I enjoy working as a team with children, parents, caregivers, and other providers to ensure a holistic approach to your child’s treatment and ultimate success. I enjoy focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, sensory integration, therapeutic listening, visual processing, and development of school readiness skills.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of diagnosis including Autism spectrum disorders, PDD, ADD, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay, prematurity, and sensory processing disorder. I am constantly amazed by my clients and the progress they can make in areas including fine motor skills, visual processing abilities, sensory processing, and self-help skills including dressing, grooming, and feeding. I look forward to working as a team to help your child progress toward their goals! 
 

Katie JalazoDevelopmental Specialist and a Social Worker

I have experience working with many age groups and a wide variety of issues and developmental delays. Specifically, I have experience working with children with Gross and Fine Motor Development Delays, Speech Delays, Physical, Social, Emotional & Cognitive Delays, Behavior Issues and Prematurity. I have experience working with children who have been diagnosed with Autism / ASD, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, and many other DSM diagnoses. Additionally, I have experience working with children through Foster Care and Adoption. I have numerous years of experience working with children of all ages through daycare, Head Start, and West Virginia Birth to Three.

I recently graduated from West Virginia University with my Master of Social Work in Direct Practice. I graduated from Fairmont State with an AAS in Early Childhood Education, a BS in Family & Consumer Science – Child Development Specialization, a M.Ed. in Professional Studies, and a M.Ed. in Online Learning. I am a member of the NASW, NAEYC, SECA, and WVAYC, as well as WV STARS.

 I enjoy helping children develop by overcoming obstacles, reaching new milestones, and achieving their full potential. I look forward to helping you and your family during this special time.

Jennifer Ward, Developmental Specialist   

I have a Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University in Child Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Birth to Preschool Special Needs. In addition, I have a WV teaching license for Preschool and Preschool Special Needs and a certificate in Early Childhood Development. My course work has allowed me to have a wide understanding among all developmental domains.

Throughout the past several years I have worked in child care settings and preschool classrooms. I am currently a substitute teacher. These positions have given me the opportunity to work with children from infancy into school age. I have experience working with children with a wide variety of developmental needs and have worked closely with children with Autism, Down syndrome, and behavioral disorders. I am skilled in beginning sign language as I currently assist in caring for a young family member who is hard of hearing as well as learning English as a second language.

I understand the importance of early intervention and how beneficial it can be for children and families! I am passionate about sharing my knowledge, resources, and strategies with families working towards their child’s bright future and look forward to being a part of that team!

Stacey Andrews, Developmental Specialist   

Hi, my name is Stacey Andrews. I am a graduate of Liberty University with a Bachelor's Degree in Family and Child Development with a minor in Psychology and have continued training in early childhood development during my time in the field. 

I have 10 years experience as a teacher in licensed preschool settings, working with children aged birth to three years, and I also have 2 children of my own under 5. I have worked with premature children, and have experience working with children with cognitive, motor, and speech delays.

My time as a developmental specialist, teacher, and a mother has given me the experience, knowledge, and insight to help you and your precious one and I sincerely look forward to working with you.

Mosey Hardin, Developmental Specialist   

Hi! My name is Mosey Hardin, and I am new to Birth to Three.  I received my undergraduate degree in Community Studies from University of California at Santa Cruz.  I went back to school and received my Special Education teaching credentials in California.  I have taught many different areas-- ranging from an autism intervention preschool to high school resource including students with learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, severe and profound disabilities, physical disabilities, communication disorders, low-vision/ blindness, students with Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorders, behavior disorders, and students with mentally impairments. 

I recently moved here from Montana where I was a special education teacher for six years.  During that time, I completed my Masters degree in Special Education- Advanced Studies and worked with many of the district’s homebound students. My passions are teaching through play, behavior support, social skills and general silliness.  I look forward to working with children in their most natural environments and being a support to families.  I am West Virginia certified in Multi-Categorical Special Education (K-AD), Mentally Impaired Mild/ Moderate (K-AD), Severe Disabilities (PK-AD), and Pre-school special needs (PK-K).  I also hold valid licenses in Montana and California.

Emma Cooley, Developmental Specialist

Hello, my name is Emma Cooley. I have a wide range of experiences with children who have special needs. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family studies; Preschool and Preschool Special Needs from West Virginia University. I also have certifications in early childhood development and infant and toddler education from WVU. I have been working with children in the childcare and home setting for over 5 years.

I was the assistant teacher in both an infant and 3 year old classrooms in the childcare setting. I extensively studied and worked with children who have autism throughout my college career alongside esteemed mentors. My experience in classrooms and childcare centers has also allowed me to work with children with Down syndrome, speech, developmental, and motor delays as well as social and emotional challenges. My passion is working with children and watching them learn and grow. I am a West Virginia native and I am excited to begin helping the children and families in my community. .

Tawnya Bright​, Developmental Specialist

My name is Tawnya Bright. I was born and raised in Vienna WV. I am a single mom to a 5 year old daughter named Payton. 

I have worked in the Child Care field for close to 10 years. I graduated in May 2016 with my Bachelor’s degree. I was determined to finish my degree to show my daughter the importance of education.

I decided to start working with Birth to Three because I love working with younger children and I want to do everything I can to help them succeed. The early years are crucial and no child should ever be kept from reaching their full potential. I have made it my mission working in this field that I will treat each child that I come in contact with like my own. I always consider them my kids and I will do everything in my power to protect and teach them. 

Sarah Lusk, Clinical Social Worker

 Hello! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I attended Mountain State University and graduated in December of 2005. I then returned to school in August of 2008 and got a Masters in Social Work from West Virginia University. I specialize in mental health with both resilient and vulnerable populations. I have worked extensively with children with Autism, been a court appointed special advocate for children and their families, and helped families with utilizing community resources available to them. I enjoy working in this field and it shows as I go above and beyond for my clients/families. I have two children of my own and enjoy spending my time with them and our friends and family.
