I have worked in various settings including schools, pre-schools, outpatient clinics, homes, and community settings. I enjoy working as a team with children, parents, caregivers, and other providers to ensure a holistic approach to your child’s treatment and ultimate success. I enjoy focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, sensory integration, therapeutic listening, visual processing, and development of school readiness skills.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of diagnosis including Autism spectrum disorders, PDD, ADD, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay, prematurity, and sensory processing disorder. I am constantly amazed by my clients and the progress they can make in areas including fine motor skills, visual processing abilities, sensory processing, and self-help skills including dressing, grooming, and feeding. I look forward to working as a team to help your child progress toward their goals!
Katie Jalazo, Developmental Specialist and a Social Worker
I have experience working with many age groups and a wide variety of issues and developmental delays. Specifically, I have experience working with children with Gross and Fine Motor Development Delays, Speech Delays, Physical, Social, Emotional & Cognitive Delays, Behavior Issues and Prematurity. I have experience working with children who have been diagnosed with Autism / ASD, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, and many other DSM diagnoses. Additionally, I have experience working with children through Foster Care and Adoption. I have numerous years of experience working with children of all ages through daycare, Head Start, and West Virginia Birth to Three.
I recently graduated from West Virginia University with my Master of Social Work in Direct Practice. I graduated from Fairmont State with an AAS in Early Childhood Education, a BS in Family & Consumer Science – Child Development Specialization, a M.Ed. in Professional Studies, and a M.Ed. in Online Learning. I am a member of the NASW, NAEYC, SECA, and WVAYC, as well as WV STARS.

Jennifer Ward, Developmental Specialist
I have a Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University in Child Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Birth to Preschool Special Needs. In addition, I have a WV teaching license for Preschool and Preschool Special Needs and a certificate in Early Childhood Development. My course work has allowed me to have a wide understanding among all developmental domains.
Throughout the past several years I have worked in child care settings and preschool classrooms. I am currently a substitute teacher. These positions have given me the opportunity to work with children from infancy into school age. I have experience working with children with a wide variety of developmental needs and have worked closely with children with Autism, Down syndrome, and behavioral disorders. I am skilled in beginning sign language as I currently assist in caring for a young family member who is hard of hearing as well as learning English as a second language.
I understand the importance of early intervention and how beneficial it can be for children and families! I am passionate about sharing my knowledge, resources, and strategies with families working towards their child’s bright future and look forward to being a part of that team!

Hi, my name is Stacey Andrews. I am a graduate of Liberty University with a Bachelor's Degree in Family and Child Development with a minor in Psychology and have continued training in early childhood development during my time in the field.
I have 10 years experience as a teacher in licensed preschool settings, working with children aged birth to three years, and I also have 2 children of my own under 5. I have worked with premature children, and have experience working with children with cognitive, motor, and speech delays.
My time as a developmental specialist, teacher, and a mother has given me the experience, knowledge, and insight to help you and your precious one and I sincerely look forward to working with you.
